The original owners of the Albatross Restaurant, Dana and Louise, are back in
Chico and reopened the Albatross as the Gooney Bird Bar and Grill on September 8th, 2008.The Gooney Bird is serving Prime Rib, Steaks, Seafood, Chicken, Pasta, Burgers, an extensive Starter menu, and nightly specials. You won't want to miss our Monday Night all you can eat Baby Back Pork Ribs and Thursday Night Music on the Patio during the summer months. We also have a full bar with specialty drinks, 20 plus beers with five on tap and an expansive wine list.
The Gooney Bird Bar and Grill is in a unique setting. It was the former ranch home of the DeGarmo family, built in the 1940s. The main floor has several quaint rooms of varying seating capacity with a beachy feel. The downstairs holds our banquet room with seating up to 60 people for dinner. We have a lovely garden room and an outdoor patio with a tropical feel.We love what we do. We take pride in providing a great atmosphere, quality food reasonably priced, and friendly service, giving our guests a total dining experience. So please come in and check us out.
